In the magazine's most recent issue, Maxine Swann recounts how an online romance led to incarceration in an Argentine jail for the physicist Paul Frampton. But because her article, "The Professor, the Bikini Model and the Suitcase Full of Trouble," includes crucial elements that could not be photographed — from Frampton's life at the University of North Carolina to his online encounters with someone he believed to be the model Denise Milani to his trip to South America to meet her to his eventual arrest on drug charges — we commissioned Wesley Allsbrook to supply the article's graphic elements. Allsbrook is a Brooklyn-based illustrator whose work accompanied another hard-to-photograph article in the magazine, Jeffrey Gettleman's 2011 article about pirate kidnappings off the coast of Somalia.
