When the photographer Alec Soth went to North Dakota in December to take pictures for last week's cover story, he was accompanied by Isaac Gale, a Minneapolis-based filmmaker. While Soth was shooting photographs throughout the Williston Basin, Gale was recording video. You can see their short film, "Sweet Crude Man Camp," here.
